Thai Political Protests (2010) - We escaped upcountry to Chiang Rai when the violence became too close to our home. The day after the protesters were cleared I walked from Victory Monument up towards Din Daeng at the triangle intersection with Ratchaprarop Road. I lived in this neighorhood for over 5 years one time and know it like the back of my hand. I headed up Ratchaprarop towards the main protest site. The barricades were still in place. All of the roads were closed. I passed the Baiyoke II tower and over the Pratunam Bridge. I was unable to cross over to Rama I at Central World so I took a motorcycle taxi down the back alley behind Big C to Chitlom and then walked up to Siam Square and then finished at the National Stadum.
